The 2023 ruler couple of Plan de Corones is Priller Tanja and Paez Leon Hector Leonardo, after winning in their respective categories in the long distance of this year's edition of one of the most popular MTB marathons in the Dolomites.

The Plan de Corones King MTB Marathon has been held for the 7th time and this year the race was again part of the Marathonman Europe series. In addition to the numerous elite riders, another 300 cyclists from 18 nations battled it out over the 64 km with 3,150 meters of elevation gain of the King Marathon distance and the 49 km with 2160 m+ of the Prince Classic, offering spectators an exciting "point to point" race. One of the characteristics of the Kronplatz King Marathon is the start in the village of San Vigilio at 1,200 m and the finish at the summit of the famous ski mountain Kronplatz at 2,275 m above sea level. Also this year, many top athletes from the UCI World Series had registered, especially last year's winner Leonardo Paez, Aleksei Medvedev, with their entire team Soudal Lee Cougan, as well as the strong Italian Daneile Mensi. In the women's race, Chiara Burato from Italy and Michalina Ziolkowska from Poland were among the competitors. Thus, he secured the title of King of Kronplatz and the golden crown 2023 with a total time of 3h 16min 45sec. The places of honor, on the other hand, went to Rosa Diego (ITA), 1.53 minutes behind, and to Dorigoni Jakob (ITA), separated from the winner by 4.54 minutes. The queen of Kronplatz 2023, on the other hand, is Priller Tanja (GER), after a hard fight that ended for her after 4h 12min 55sec at the finish line. Thus she leaves her pursuers Burato Chriara (ITA) as second with 6,14 minutes behind and Scipioni Silvia (ITA) as third with 22,48 minutes behind. Bombastic as every year the winner photo with the new royal couple of Kronplatz, crowned and dressed by race director Maurizio Kastlunger. On the shorter distance, the Prince Classic over 49 km and a little more than 2000 meters of altitude, Schupfer Simon (AUT) excelled in the men's race with a final time of 2h 36min 12sec, and Zocca Lorena (ITA) in the women's race with a race time of 3h 27min 04sec.
